SEO UK. Search Engine Optimisation and Website Submissions By Peter Yexley Search engine submissions. Submitting websites to search engines can be time consuming and demoralising when high ranking isn't achieved. Constant re-submitting may not have any effect either. Getting high ranks in search engines isn't easy and there are many pitfalls and traps. That isn't to say that you should avoid it or pay someone to do it. Often it actually pays you dividends to deploy the skills of a professional and if you are relying on revenue from your website at least make enquiries so that you can decide whether to budget for professional website submissions. Firstly, don't submit your website until it is 100% ready. Ensure your metatags are good and all links work. Double-check spelling and grammar. Focus again upon your keywords. If you submit your website to Google for example and it is only half-baked it may not get indexed and could delay further submissions. - Look before you leap.
Pay an SEO or go for free submissions? Is there such a thing as something for nothing, what does FREE really mean ? Does it mean in exchange for your email address some automated system will go through the motions of submitting your URL ? When you provide your email address, will they add it to their mailing list and offer you untold internet marketing and website promotional tools at bargain prices and indeed sell your address to another few thousand spammers? Do automated website submission systems really work ? If you were Google and heavily relied upon human visitors to use your site, whether to search or submit - would you welcome some sort of software to submit URL's? human traffic generates revenue, automated software systems exhausts bandwidth.
